- Your discovery+ subscription automatically renews until you cancel it.
- Deleting the discovery+ app does not cancel your subscription.
- Cancel your subscription a day before your next billing date to avoid further charges.
The steps for cancelling your discovery+ subscription vary depending on who bills you. If you know who bills you, skip to Step 2.
Step 1: Find who bills you
If you're not sure who bills you for discovery+, search your email accounts for a discovery+ subscription email (try searching for discovery+).
You can also find who bills you on your Account page. Here's how:
- Sign in at discoveryplus.com.
- Choose your profile (upper right) and then Account.
- In the Subscription section:
- If discovery+ bills you, choose Cancel.
- If a TV provider bills you, you'll see discovery+ via (company name).
- If an app store bills you, you'll see 'Changes to billing details must be made on the app store' message.
Step 2: Cancel your subscription
Choose who bills you for discovery+ and follow the steps:
- discoveryplus.com
- Amazon Appstore (e.g. Fire TV)
- Amazon Prime Video Channels
- Apple App Store
- DIRECTV or DIRECTV STREAM
- Google Play (Android device)
- Roku
- Samsung
- Verizon
- Xfinity
- Other provider (DISH, Sling, or Vizio)
Subscribed through discoveryplus.com
Here's how to cancel your discovery+ subscription billed through us:
- Sign in at discoveryplus.com.
- Choose your profile (upper right) and then Account.
- In the Subscription section, choose Cancel.
If Cancel isn't available, your subscription is billed through an app store or with your TV package.
Once you cancel, you'll get an email confirming the cancellation. You can continue streaming until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.
Subscribed through Amazon Appstore
Here's how to cancel your discovery+ subscription billed through Amazon:
- Sign in to your Amazon account at amazon.com/appstoresubscriptions.
- In the Your Subscriptions section, find your discovery+ subscription and turn off auto-renewal.
You'll get an email from Amazon confirming your cancellation. You can continue streaming until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.

Subscribed through Prime Video Channels
Here's how to cancel your discovery+ subscription billed through Prime Video:
- Go to Manage Your Prime Video Channels and sign in to your Amazon account (if prompted).
- Find discovery+ in the Your Channels section.
- Choose the Cancel Channel option and confirm.

Subscribed through Apple App Store
Here's how to cancel your discovery+ subscription billed through Apple:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
To cancel on your Apple TV, go to Manage subscriptions on Apple TV. - Choose your name.
- Choose Subscriptions (if prompted, log in with your Apple ID).
- Choose your discovery+ subscription.
Can't find it? Make sure you're logged in with the correct Apple ID. For help, go to Can't find my Apple subscription. - Choose Cancel Subscription.
You'll get an email from Apple confirming your cancellation. You can stream until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.

Subscribed through DIRECTV (or DIRECTV STREAM)
You can cancel your premium add-ons through your DIRECTV or DIRECTV STREAM account. For more info, go to Add or remove premium channels.
Your discovery+ access will end immediately, and you'll get an email from DIRECTV confirming your cancellation. You may also receive a prorated credit on your next DIRECTV bill for any time remaining (if applicable).

Subscribed through Google Play
Here's how to cancel your discovery+ subscription billed through Google:
- On the Android phone or tablet where you started your subscription, open the Play Store app.
To cancel on your computer, go to Cancel a Google Play subscription. - Choose your profile icon.
- Choose Payments & subscriptions and then Subscriptions.
- Choose discovery+ and then Cancel subscription.
You'll get an email from Google Play confirming your cancellation. You can stream until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.

Subscribed through Roku
Here's how to cancel your discovery+ subscription billed through Roku:
- Sign in to your Roku account at my.roku.com/subscriptions.
- Find discovery+ in your Active Subscriptions.
- Choose Manage subscription.
- Turn off auto-renew and then confirm.
You should get an email confirming your cancellation. You can stream until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.

Subscribed through Samsung
Here's how to cancel your Samsung-billed subscription via the web:
- Go to samsungcheckout.com and sign in to your Samsung account.
- From the Purchase History menu, choose Subscriptions.
- Find your discovery+ subscription and choose Unsubscribe.
Once canceled, you should get an email from Samsung confirming your cancellation. You can stream until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.

- Choose your profile (upper right) and then Account.
- Choose Cancel Subscription.

You can restart your subscription at any time. Here's how:
- Sign in at discoveryplus.com.
- Choose your profile icon (upper right), and then choose Account.
- In the Subscription section, choose Reactivate.
