Cancel discovery+

Things to know

  • Your discovery+ subscription automatically renews until you cancel it.
  • Deleting the discovery+ app does not cancel your subscription.
  • Cancel your subscription a day before your next billing date to avoid further charges.

The steps for cancelling your discovery+ subscription vary depending on who bills you. If you know who bills you, skip to Step 2.

Step 1: Find who bills you

If you're not sure who bills you for discovery+, search your email accounts for a discovery+ subscription email (try searching for discovery+).

You can also find who bills you on your Account page. Here's how:

  1. Sign in at discoveryplus.com.
  2. Choose your profile (upper right) and then Subscription.
  3. Find who your subscription is billed through (top of screen).

Step 2: Cancel your subscription

If you’re billed through us (discovery+), here's how to cancel your subscription:

  1. Go to discoveryplus.com and sign in (if needed).
  2. Choose your profile (upper right) and then Subscription.
  3. Choose Cancel Your Subscription.
    No cancel option? Take note of who you're billed through (top of screen) and find them in the Third-party billing section below.

Once you cancel, you'll get an email confirming the cancellation. You can continue streaming until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.

Quebec residents
If you live in Quebec, you can cancel your discovery+ subscription billed through us using this cancellation form.

Third party billing

Find who bills you for discovery+ and follow the steps below:

 

Amazon Appstore

Here's how to cancel your discovery+ subscription billed through Amazon:

  1. Sign in to your Amazon account at amazon.com/appstoresubscriptions.
  2. In the Your Subscriptions section, find your discovery+ subscription and turn off auto-renewal.

You'll get an email from Amazon confirming your cancellation. You can continue streaming until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.

Amazon Prime Video Channels

Here's how to cancel your discovery+ subscription billed through Prime Video:

  1. Go to Manage Your Prime Video Channels and sign in to your Amazon account (if prompted).
  2. Find discovery+ in the Your Channels section.
  3. Choose the Cancel Channel option and confirm.

Apple App Store

Here's how to cancel your discovery+ subscription billed through Apple:

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
    To cancel on your Apple TV, go to Manage subscriptions on Apple TV.
  2. Choose your name.
  3. Choose Subscriptions (if prompted, log in with your Apple ID).
  4. Choose your discovery+ subscription.
    Can't find it? Make sure you're logged in with the correct Apple ID. For help, go to Can't find my Apple subscription.
  5. Choose Cancel Subscription.

You'll get an email from Apple confirming your cancellation. You can stream until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.

Google Play

Here's how to cancel your discovery+ subscription billed through Google:

  1. On the Android phone or tablet where you started your subscription, open the Play Store app.
    To cancel on your computer, go to Cancel a Google Play subscription.
  2. Choose your profile icon.
  3. Choose Payments & subscriptions and then Subscriptions.
  4. Choose discovery+ and then Cancel subscription.

You'll get an email from Google Play confirming your cancellation. You can stream until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.

Roku

Here's how to cancel your discovery+ subscription billed through Roku:

  1. Sign in to your Roku account at my.roku.com/subscriptions.
  2. Find discovery+ in your Active Subscriptions.
  3. Choose Manage subscription.
  4. Turn off auto-renew and then confirm.

You should get an email confirming your cancellation. You can stream until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.

Samsung

Here's how to cancel your Samsung-billed subscription via the web:

  1. Go to samsungcheckout.com and sign in to your Samsung account.
  2. From the Purchase History menu, choose Subscriptions.
  3. Find your discovery+ subscription and choose Unsubscribe.

Once canceled, you should get an email from Samsung confirming your cancellation. You can stream until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period.
