Sign in to discovery+

discovery+ is available from many providers. How you sign in to discovery+ depends on how you signed up.  

When you sign up through an internet, mobile, or TV provider, you’ll need to activate your account before you can sign in and stream. 

When you sign up on discoveryplus.com or using the discovery+ app, you can stream right away using the discovery+ app on any supported device.

To sign in, choose the device you're using below.

Activate your subscription through a provider 

If you have access to discovery+ through an internet, mobile, or TV provider, you may need to activate your account before you can start streaming. To learn how, choose your provider below: 

Spectrum:

To activate your discovery+ account: 

  1. Go to Spectrum.com/discoveryplus and choose Get Started. You’ll be redirected to discoveryplus.com.
  2. Enter an email address and password, then choose Create Account. 
    Already have a discovery+ account? Enter your account credentials. 
  3. On the Welcome screen, choose Start Streaming.
  4. On the Who’s Watching screen, choose your profile and you’re ready to go.

You only need to activate your discovery+ account once through Spectrum. After activation, you can sign in and stream on any discovery+ supported device.    

Sign in on a supported device

Phone or tablet

Here's how to sign in to the discovery+ app:

  1. Open discovery+ and choose Sign In.
  2. Enter your discovery+ account email and choose Continue.
  3. Enter your discovery+ password and choose Sign In.
  4. Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.

Need to switch accounts? To sign in to a different discovery+ account, choose the profile icon (upper right) and then Sign Out. Once signed out, choose Sign In.

Computer

Here's how to sign in on your computer:

  1. Go to discoveryplus.com/login on your computer.
  2. Enter your discovery+ account email and choose Continue.
  3. Enter your discovery+ password and choose Sign In.
  4. Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.

Need to switch accounts? To sign in to a different discovery+ account, choose the profile icon (upper right) and then Sign Out. Once signed out, choose Sign In.

TV device

Here's how to sign in on your TV device:

  1. Install the discovery+ app.
  2. Open discovery+ and choose Sign In.

  3. Now, choose a TV sign-in option:

Use a Code

Sign in on your TV using a code. Here's how:

  1. Stay on the TV screen with the QR code and do one of the following:

    • Open your phone's camera app and point your camera at the QR code on your TV. Then, tap the link that appears on your phone (iPhone or Android QR steps).

      -or-

    • On your phone or computer, go to discoveryplus.com/signin. Then, enter the 6-digit code from your TV.
  2. Enter your discovery+ account email and choose Continue.
  3. Enter your discovery+ password and choose Sign In.
  4. On your TV, choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.

TV code not working?

If the 6-digit code isn't working, here are some things to try:

  • Open a private or incognito browser window and then go to discoveryplus.com/signin.
  • Try signing in another way (e.g. Use Email Address).
  • Try using a different supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari).

Use discovery+ Mobile App (on some devices)

Sign in on your TV using the discovery+ mobile app. Here's how:

  1. On the TV sign-in screen, choose Use discovery+ Mobile App (on the left).

    (This option is not available on all TV devices.)

  2. Open the discovery+ app on your phone or tablet.
  3. If you're not signed in, sign in, then close and reopen the discovery+ mobile app.
  4. Choose Allow in the discovery+ mobile app and you'll be signed in on your TV.
  5. On your TV, choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.

Didn't get 'Allow' prompt?

If you didn't get a prompt in the discovery+ mobile app, try the following:

  • Make sure your mobile device and TV device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Close and reopen the discovery+ mobile app.
  • Try signing in another way (e.g. Use a Code).

Use Email Address

Sign in on your TV using your TV remote. Here's how:

  1. On the TV sign-in screen, choose Use Email Address (on the left).
  2. Enter your discovery+ account email and password, then choose Sign In. To open the on-screen keyboard, move the selection to Email Address and press the Select or OK button on your remote.
  3. Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.

Need to switch accounts? To sign in to a different discovery+ account, choose the Settings icon (lower left) and then Sign Out. Once signed out, choose Sign In.
