The steps for changing your discovery+ subscription plan vary depending on who bills you. If you know who bills you, skip to Step 2.
Step 1: Find who bills you
If you're not sure who bills you for discovery+, search your email accounts for a discovery+ subscription email (try searching for discovery+).
You may also find who bills you on your Account page. Here's how:
- Sign in at discoveryplus.com.
- Choose your profile (upper right) and then Account.
- In the Subscription section:
- If discovery+ bills you, choose Change Plan and choose a different plan.
- If a TV provider bills you, you'll see discovery+ via (company name).
- If an app store bills you, you'll see 'Changes to this subscription must be made on the app store' message.
Step 2: Change your plan
Choose who bills you for discovery+ and follow the steps:
- discoveryplus.com
- Amazon Appstore (e.g. Fire TV)
- Amazon Prime Video Channels
- Apple
- Google Play (Android device)
- Roku
- Samsung
- Xfinity
- Other provider (DISH, Sling, or Vizio)
Subscribed at discoveryplus.com
If you started your subscription at discoveryplus.com, here's how to change your plan:
- Sign in at discoveryplus.com.
- Choose your profile icon (upper right) and then Account.
- In the Subscription section, choose Change Plan.
If Change Plan isn't available, your subscription is billed through an app store or with your TV package. - Choose a different subscription plan.
Once your subscription is updated, you'll get an email confirming the change.
When will my plan change take effect?
The effective date depends on the change:
- If you change to the discovery+ plan, your plan change will happen on your next billing date.
- If you change to the discovery+ (Ad-Free) plan, your plan change happens immediately. You'll receive a refund for your last discovery+ charge, and you'll be charged for the discovery+ (Ad-Free) plan. Your next billing date will be adjusted.
Subscribed through Amazon Appstore
To change your plan, cancel your subscription and resubscribe with a different plan. Here's how:
- Cancel your subscription through the Amazon Appstore.
- Open the discovery+ app and choose a different plan.

Subscribed through Amazon Prime Video Channels
To change your plan, cancel your subscription and resubscribe with a different plan. Here's how:
- Go to Manage Your Prime Video Channels and sign in to your Amazon account (if prompted).
- Find discovery+ in the Your Channels section.
- Choose the Cancel Channel option and confirm.
- Open the discovery+ app and choose a different plan.

Subscribed through Apple
Here's how to change your discovery+ plan billed through Apple:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
To change your plan on another device, go to Switch an Apple subscription plan. - Tap your name, then choose Subscriptions (if prompted, enter your Apple ID).
- Choose discovery+, and then choose a different subscription option.

Subscribed through Google Play (Android)
To change your plan, cancel your subscription and resubscribe with a different plan. Here's how:
- On the Android phone or tablet where you started your subscription, open the Play Store app.
- Choose your profile icon.
- Choose Payments & subscriptions and then Subscriptions.
- Choose discovery+ and then Cancel subscription.
- Open the discovery+ app and choose a different plan.

Subscribed through Roku
Here's how to change your discovery+ plan billed through Roku:
- On your Roku device, open the discovery+ app.
- In the menu (left edge), choose Account.
- Choose Change Your Plan.
- Choose a new plan, and then choose Subscribe and Pay.
Once your subscription is updated, you should get an email confirming the change.

To change your discovery+ plan, cancel your subscription, and resubscribe to a different plan. Here's how:
- Sign in to discoveryplus.com.
- Choose your profile (upper right) and then Account.
- Choose Cancel Subscription.
- Once your subscription has expired, resubscribe to discovery+ and choose a different plan.
