The steps for changing your discovery+ subscription plan vary depending on who bills you. If you know who bills you, skip to Step 2.
Step 1: Find who bills you
Here's how to find who bills you for discovery+:
- Do one of the following:
- Web: Go to discoveryplus.com/subscription and sign in (if needed).
- Phone, tablet, or computer: In discovery+, choose your profile and then Subscription.
- TV device: In discovery+, choose the Settings icon and then Subscription.
- Here you'll find who your subscription is billed through (top of screen).
You can also check your bank statements or ask your TV provider if they bill you for discovery+.
Step 2: Change your plan
Find who bills you for discovery+ and follow the steps:
discovery+
- Go to discoveryplus.com/subscription and sign in (if needed).
- Choose Change Your Plan.
- Choose a subscription plan.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to change your plan.
If you change to a lower-priced plan, your plan change will happen on your next billing date.
If you change to a higher-priced plan, your plan change happens immediately. You'll be charged the price difference between plans (plus applicable taxes) and your next billing date will be adjusted.
Amazon Appstore
- In discovery+, do one of the following:
- Fire Tablet: Choose your profile.
- Fire TV: Choose the Settings icon.
- Choose Subscription and then Change Your Plan.
- Choose a subscription plan.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to change your plan.
If you change to a lower-priced plan, your plan change will happen on your next billing date.
If you change to a higher-priced plan, your plan change happens immediately. Amazon will refund you for the remaining days on your subscription plan and charge you for your new plan. Your next billing date will be adjusted.
Amazon Prime Video Channels
To change your plan, cancel your subscription, wait for it to expire, then resubscribe to discovery+ and choose a different plan.
Apple
On your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV:
- In discovery+, choose your profile (or the Settings icon on your TV).
- Choose Subscription and then Change Your Plan.
- Choose a subscription plan.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to change your plan.
If you change to a lower-priced plan, your plan change will happen on your next billing date.
If you change to a higher-priced plan, your plan change happens immediately. Apple will refund you for the remaining days on your subscription and charge you for your new plan. Your next billing date will be adjusted.
Google Play
On your Android phone or TV:
- In discovery+, choose your profile (or the Settings icon on your TV).
- Choose Subscription and then Change Your Plan.
- Choose a subscription plan.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to change your plan.
If you change to a lower-priced plan, your plan change will happen on your next billing date.
If you change to a higher-priced plan, your plan change happens immediately. Google will give you a credit for the remaining days on your subscription and apply it to your new plan. Your next billing date will be adjusted once the credit is used.
Roku
On your Roku:
- In discovery+, choose the Settings icon.
- Choose Subscription and then Change Your Plan.
- Choose a subscription plan.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to change your plan.
If you change to a lower-priced plan, your plan change will happen on your next billing date.
If you change to a higher-priced plan, your plan change happens immediately. You'll be charged the price difference between plans (plus applicable taxes) and your next billing date will be adjusted.
Samsung
On your Samsung TV:
- In discovery+, choose the Settings icon.
- Choose Subscription and then Change Your Plan.
- Choose a subscription plan.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to change your plan.
If you change to a lower-priced plan, your plan change will happen on your next billing date.
If you change to a higher-priced plan, your plan change happens immediately. Samsung will give you a credit for the remaining days on your subscription and apply it to your new plan. Your next billing date will be adjusted once the credit is used.
Xfinity
To change your plan, cancel your subscription, wait for it to expire, then resubscribe to discovery+ and choose a different plan.
Other provider (e.g. DISH, Sling, Vizio)
